Your space. Your size. Designed with you.
Not just garden rooms. We create bespoke Peace PODs and Sensory PODs in any size, anywhere indoors or outdoors — or design a calming interior in a room you already have.
Indoor Peace PODs
A dedicated sensory retreat inside your home, office or school. We design the size, layout, seating, lighting and sensory options around the people using it and what you would like.
Outdoor & garden Peace PODs
A bespoke calming space in your garden, school grounds or outside your office. Any size, with the interior designed together — outdoor PODs are not our only option.
Transform a room you already have
An unused office, spare classroom or a storage room — even your “junk room” — can become a calming sensory space. You do not need a new standalone POD: we can design the interior around your existing room.
Existing-room designs are quoted for your space. Bespoke options and sensory upgrades are available, price upon discussion.
What is a sensory room for autism in schools?
A sensory room is a calm, low-stimulation space with controllable lighting, sound and sensory equipment. It gives autistic and SEND pupils somewhere safe to regulate when the classroom becomes overwhelming, so they can return to learning instead of reaching crisis.
Why schools are creating sensory spaces
Keep pupils in mainstream
A planned place to regulate can help pupils stay in class and in school, rather than being removed when overwhelmed.
Government guidance supports it
DfE Inclusive Mainstream Fund guidance lists sensory-friendly spaces and quiet rooms among the environment adaptations schools can consider.
Support for staff too
Staff can use the space to reset, and we offer CPD training so it becomes part of everyday practice.
The benefits of a sensory room for autism
- • Many autistic pupils experience sensory overload from noise, light and busy corridors.
- • Soft lighting, bubble tubes, fibre optic lights and calming projection help the nervous system settle.
- • Short, planned sensory breaks can prevent meltdowns and shutdowns before they happen.
- • Every POD can be designed with your school: sensory room equipment, colours, soft seating and wall padding chosen for your pupils.
How it can change a child's school day
- ✓ Pupils learn to recognise when they need a break and how to calm down
- ✓ Fewer crises, exclusions and missed lessons
- ✓ Calmer classrooms for everyone
- ✓ Parents trust the school understands their child
- ✓ A visible commitment to SEND inclusion

Common questions
Can we use an existing school room instead of buying a new POD?

How much does a school sensory room cost?

Can school funding pay for a sensory pod?
DfE Inclusive Mainstream Fund guidance includes creating sensory-friendly spaces, quiet rooms or flexible learning environments. Check your own allocation and conditions; we can help you plan the case.
What sensory room equipment for autism is included?
Each POD is designed with you. Options include calming lights, bubble tubes, immersive projection, soft seating, wall padding and more.
