What is a Conflict of Interest?
A conflict arises when personal interests, relationships, or outside activities could — or could appear to — influence professional judgement or decisions.

- • Personal relationships: Training or assessing family, friends or personal connections.
- • Competing roles: Working for a competing organisation or service provider.
- • Use of materials: Promoting products or services in which you have an interest.
- • External business: Side ventures that could conflict with duties to FYIP or its learners.
- • Dual roles: Positions in other organisations creating divided loyalties.
