Sensory garden rooms · Essex & UK-wide

Sensory garden rooms in Essex,
built so the nervous system can settle.

A Peace POD is an insulated, sound-treated garden room designed for regulation: a calm room at home, a SEND space for a school with no spare classroom, or a genuinely quiet place to work. Supplied and installed across Essex.

What people use them for

A calm room at home

A separate, quiet space in the garden for regulation, sleep-preparation routines and time away from a busy house. Used by autistic and ADHD children, teenagers and adults.

A SEND or sensory space for schools

Where no classroom is spare, a garden pod gives a school a sound-treated, low-arousal room on site without building work or a long capital project.

A quiet garden office

Acoustic treatment, controllable light and a door that closes properly. The same features that make a sensory room work also make a garden office usable.

Therapy and coaching practice

A private, consistent room for one-to-one sessions, separate from the main house and set up for a regulated nervous system from the moment someone sits down.

Questions we are asked in Essex

What is a sensory garden room?
A sensory garden room is a self-contained, insulated outdoor room designed for sensory regulation. It has controllable lighting, acoustic treatment, soft seating and optional sensory equipment, so it can be used as a calm room, SEND space or quiet workspace without altering the main building.
Do you supply garden rooms across Essex?
Yes. We supply and install Peace PODs for homes, schools, colleges and workplaces across Essex and the surrounding counties, and we deliver nationally across the UK.
Do I need planning permission for a garden room in Essex?
Many garden rooms fall under permitted development when they are single storey, within height limits and not used as separate living accommodation, but rules differ for listed buildings, conservation areas and larger structures. Always confirm with your local planning authority before ordering.
How much does a sensory garden room cost?
Cost depends on size, specification and the sensory equipment included. We give a written figure after a free discovery call and a look at your space, rather than quoting a headline price that changes later.
Can a school use a garden pod as a SEND or calming room?
Yes. Schools use a garden pod when no internal room is available, when a quiet space is needed away from corridor noise, or when a calming space is required sooner than a building project allows. We include staff training on using the space well.
How long does installation take?
Once your specification is confirmed, most installations are completed in a single visit, with the room handed over ready to use and a walkthrough for the people who will support others in it.

Talk it through first

A free discovery call, an honest look at your space, and a clear recommendation, even when that recommendation is to train your team before buying anything.
